We took the dog for a walk at the Broad down the road from our stopover. He was overly excited by that.
Now back at the pub for a couple of drinks before we head back to the van to get showered and changed.
Looking forward to dinner. The food coming out looks good.

It's been a busy day today. One thing we have discovered is that everything is much closer together by road than water 🤣🤣🤣
What takes two days by river takes 20 minutes by road.
Got some lamb shoulder to cook tonight.
Dog is shattered. He has been on the go all day!4 -
Brilliant photos as always, lovely part of the world.1

The weather has turned for the worse today. We are currently on the van waiting out some incoming storms. It is very blustery. Glad we are not here on the boat this time!
We started the day with some dry cured bacon on chilli cheese eggy bread which was delicious before setting out on the short ferry ride across the river Yare.
Then it was onto Beccles to stock up on a few essentials.
Before finally heading to our destination Southwold. We have a couple of days off driving now.
Our pitch here is huge. Just a shame the weather isn't suitable to sit outside and enjoy it!
The dog is absolutely shattered after another busy day. I think he will appreciate a quiet afternoon on the van this afternoon.
We have a load of leftover lamb from yesterday's roast dinner so I'm going to make a pasta bake with it later to have with some garlic bread.
Time to batten down the hatches!3 -
Lovely photos. I love the row of beach huts, the blue and white one in the middle looks like my shed 😆 Isn't it just typical that the weather has changed for the worse! Hopefully it'll get better tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I always love your photos, always seem to capture the spirit of where you're visiting. Hope the bad weather didn't last for two long, wasn't great here for part of the day. Think the rest of the week is looking a little better.
