Another day at the sweat shop. The weekend can't come quick enough this week!
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was porridge, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is spicy sausages with singapore noodles and stir fried vegetables with some pok choi and rainbow chard from the garden.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- cleaning the bathrooms
- vacuuming the house
- loading up the van ready for a quick getaway tomorrow evening (must remember to plug it in and turn on the fridge as well)

Loving the pictures of the dog - and you can't blame him for not wanting to get out of the ditch - I bet if you had the chance for a paddle you'd want to stay in as well!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Just found out some good energy news.
Our suppliers, the foxy ones, are lowering their energy prices by an additional 5% over the Ofgem price cap from 1st July.2 -
We’ve had the same notification from 🐙 It’s good to know prices are coming down. I want to keep paying the same amount to build up some credit for winter.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I reckon we are after the £40 per month drop they applied last month still paying about £20 a month more than we need too.
Going to keep it like that though in case we have a long cold winter. Plus who knows what will happen with energy prices in the future? 🫤0 -
Good to read you are still doing well, balances slowly ticking down and weekends away. We've found there are next to no decent offers in the supermarkets any longer.
No notifications from our energy company but it's good to see some are passing the savings on, just hope ours follows soon.
Enjoy your weekend and the Norfolk and Suffolk tour; it's a beautiful part of the world.1 -
Last day at work for this week. We are off to the van festival this evening.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. It was toasted fruit loaf for breakfast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is a nice chicken, ham and leek pie from the farm shop with some spicy chips and mint and chilli mushy peas. I suspect there will be a few beers had before hand.
It will be straight home from work, showered and straight out in the van tonight. We have to get to the airfield before last admissions at 9pm. It is a shame we will miss most of the first day of the festival due to work but the other half couldn't get the day off. I'm sure we will make up for the missed day on Saturday0 -
