A weekend at home for us. The last for while.
Breakfast this morning is going to be a full English and dinner later is a slow cooked goat curry with rice, samosa and garlic naan bread.
Today we have a list of jobs to get through. Polishing the car, cleaning the inside of the van, cutting the grass, going to the bank, going to the farm shop, a couple of loads of washing, pruning the olive trees, walking the dog.
A busy day in store.1 -
Not got too much to do today. We need to wax the car before the rain comes and take the garden waste to the tip.
That's the sum total of our efforts today.
Breakfast will be a full English and dinner later is roast chicken with all the trimmings.
We will try to walk the dog before the rain starts. There has been thunder overnight which has upset him so will see if he wants to go out. If not he can use the garden instead.
Looking forward to a quiet day today after a busy day yesterday. Also looking forward to some rain later. We desperately need it. It can rain as much as it wants once we have the car waxed up.2 -
Our dog was growling at the thunder. I was having a dream about the house flooding and woke up to it pouring with rain 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

No sign of the rain here yet. Just muggy, humid and sunny.
The dog has been in the ditch to cool off. Little sod wouldn't get back out again though 🤣🤣🤣

It has been an expensive morning. We needed to buy some beer for the weekend for the van and at home. Our stocks we bought when it was cheap have run out and we nicked a case from the van over the weekend so that was dry as well. There are no cheap deals available at the moment. Will need to pick some more up next week as well to get the van stocked up for going away.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is blue cheddar and smoked salmon pasta bake with garlic bread. Still using up the cheese we brought back from Cheddar!
Tonight's jobs are:- cleaning the kitchen
