£300 sent to Card 6 today and the car has gone to the garage to have the gearbox fixed. Don' think it will be finished today though. We have a loan car booked out for the week.

Breakfast, lunch and diner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is salmon with noodles and stir fried vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop

We picked the car up this morning. The garage where the other half works have paid the bill initially as they get a discount and we are going to pay them back. So it hasn't cost me anything just yet. I have transferred the money across from the savings account ready to pay it when they request it. So the savings account is looking pretty sad right now.

But at least the money was there to pay the bill and nothing has gone on the credit card and we still have the money in the Premium Bonds account for any emergency use should it be needed.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is spicy goat sausages with root veg mash and greens.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing

Even if you had to use savings it’s still a great step forward from using credit and you’ll soon build it back up again.

It’s good to come on here and see you are doing so well. Balances going down nicely and not using credit for things that really we all ought be able not to.

That car of yours does seem to be needing a fair amount of work - not sure what your replacement plans are but perhaps something to consider in your mid term.
