Not a no spends day today. I have to nip to the shops after work to pick a few bits up ready for our friends coming over this weekend.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toasted fruit loaf, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is pizza and chips. The other half will be having some beer with his. I'm laying off it tonight.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
    • shopping
    • watering the house plants
I have woken up this morning with much less pain around my face. It's still a bit achy but nowhere near as sore as it was yesterday. The gum is still swollen but that is to be expected.

I suppose there are positives in that you didn't have long to think about it, and it will never bother you again, but - ouch! I hope it settles really soon.

We are going to head to the cafe for breakfast this morning. We have friends coming over tonight so I'm cooking curry tonight and a full English in the morning, so someone else can do the cooking this morning.

Our friends are not arriving while about 5.30pm so it gives us time to get some stuff done before hand.

Must go to the farm shop to get sausage and bacon. Going to get a couple of loads of washing done as well I think. Weather forecast is for good drying weather.

The dog will get a good walk at the woods by the cafe this morning and we will give him a good walk before our friends arrive later on.

Enjoy your evening. How’s your sore mouth this morning?

It's a lot better thanks. Not hurting or aching anymore.

The hole has almost skinned over already, I reckon it will be fully closed over by tomorrow. The human body is amazing how it heals so quickly.

Still got to be careful until the gum fills in and heals though. Don't want to disturb the good progress so far!

Take care of the gum - I always find once it’s beginning to heal I completely forget about it and bit on something hard which isn’t the best 😳

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast is a full English and dinner later is slow cooked beef and stout casserole in Yorkshire pudding.

We had a lovely evening last night with our friends chatting the night away. No doubt once everyone is up and awake it will be more of the same over breakfast. They can't leave too late as their cat needs his medication by midday.

This afternoon will be spent pottering around at home. The other half is going to wash the car and I need to clean out the van ready for next weekends outing. I've a couple of loads of bedding to wash as well. Hope to get those line dried and back on the beds today.

Will walk the dog locally again today. Guessing he will be shattered today.

Just got back from walking the dog at a local nature reserve. It was busy with the nice weather.

First load of bedding is back on the bed washed and line dried. Second load is on the line now. Won't be long before that's dry. Brilliant drying weather today.

Our friends went home late morning. We are going to try and meet up again before we head to France with them in September.

Dinner is in the slow cooker and is starting to smell nice. Just need to rustle up a Yorkshire pudding later to serve it in.
