Not a no spends day today. We have been to fill the car up with diesel this morning.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores though. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is slow cooked lamb in Yorkshire pudding with mashed potatoes and greens.
There was a terrible accident at the end of our road by the playing fields last night. A child was knocked over by a car load of youths racing with their mates. The air ambulance was called and they were eventually air lifted to hospital after an hour and a half of being worked on. The police are still there this morning and were skid testing a similar car. They had got to 50mph and were not even close to replicating the skid marks left on the road.
Fingers crossed the child makes a full recovery. The police hadn't had an update since late last night and it was touch and go the last they had heard0 -
That awful. Poor child and their family. There is talk of young drivers who have recent test passes not being allowed to carry certain passengers. Not a bad idea I think.

How terrible, unfortunately some youths think they're invincible and can do what they like with no consequences. It's incredibly sad that the child was hit so badly and I hope they are OK.

How very sad, I hope he pulls through 🙏 Words fail me with boy racers completely selfish 🤬 And the thing is they will probably just get a slap on the wrist for it 😡I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

We have heard no further news about the child. We did our usual morning walk past the scene this morning and there are still the police investigation marks all over the road and footpath. Very sad.
Not a no spends day today. We have been to the shop this morning to pick up a few bits of veg and some bread and tonight after work we are heading to a bike night at a local cafe so we will grab some dinner while we are there.
Breakfast and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was toast and we have both taken our packed lunches to work.
I could do with doing a load of washing tonight but that will depend what time we get home and we will walk the dog while we are at the cafe, there are some woods there which he loves going for a walk in.
We had a slight frost here this morning which was unexpected. I suspect that will have finished off the pok choi seedlings which were just starting to poke through!1
