I like the idea of growing my own but can’t be doing with too much faffing about. I like to plant it, water it and that’s it. I don’t have the time to invest in anything labour intensive.
That's exactly our philosophy. Keep it simple.

Not a no spends day today. I need to do the weekly shop after work.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. It was toast for breakfast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is tuna steak with stir fried vegetables and noodles.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
    • cleaning the windows
Back to the grindstone this morning after a nice weekend at home. Glad we got the gardens done yesterday as the weather is a bit grey and drizzly here this morning which wouldn't have bode well for it drying our later on after work!

Just de-lurking to say that Barra IS awesome, particularly when you land on the beach in a VERY small plane from Glasgow!  Enjoy!
For several Christmas trips that was actually our route of choice to reach Uist - Drive > Glasgow, fly > Barra, Ferry > Eriskay then collect hire car from there. Bizarrely it actually worked out cheaper than any of the more seemingly direct routes, was definitely quicker and without question was one heck of a lot more fun!

RS - when on Barra making sure you check the tide times to go and see a flight land is an absolute must to add to your itinerary!

For those wondering, this is a commercial airport, with scheduled flights!

I think the "Aires" set up is something that's starting to spread across the islands - I know Barra & Vatersay already have permitted wild camping sites - there are less in Uist at the moment (although still a few places) and Lewis/Harris have quite a few.
Just noticed that the balance on the CC will be down to 4 figures after the next payment goes to it!
