That's good news about the site for the weekend - good planning to have booked the hardstanding pitch by the sound of it!
I have to say I was a bit surprised when you said you were having your drinks outside - we've had some nice weather (well, apart from Friday which was basically non stop torrential rain!) but it's not been what I'd call warm enough to sit out in at any point yet - I wasn't entirely surprised when you said you'd retreated back indoors!

It was lovely and warm when the sun was on the patio. Our garden is a bit of a suntrap in the morning and early afternoon.EssexHebridean said:That's good news about the site for the weekend - good planning to have booked the hardstanding pitch by the sound of it!

Soon turned cold when the shade came over though.
Looking forward to sitting out in the garden this summer.1 -

Not a no spends day today. We have filled the car up with diesel. We noticed that has come down again. £1.58 a litre this morning the cheapest we have paid in a long while. It is really noticeable the difference it is making now. £60 to fill the car up rather than nearly £100 when it was at it's highest.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. It was toast for breakfast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is some nice Dexter burgers from the farm shop with chips, onion rings and corn on the cob.
I have put the makings of a steak and ale pie in the slow cooker while we are at work. Tonight I will add a mash topping and then that will be ready to reheat for dinner tomorrow night. A nice easy dinner for our first night away.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- plugging in the van and turning on the fridge
- assembling the pie
- load of washing
- packing our bags and loading onto the van
