Happy belated birthday @RelievedSheff. We are also fans of York, looks like you had a great time. We should go back soon perhaps this year.

£300 sent to Card 7 this morning.

Not a no spends day today. I need to go and do the weekly shop tonight after work and I have just booked us in at York again for this time next year. We really enjoyed it this year.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. We had toast for breakfast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is turkey in black bean sauce with noodles and spring rolls.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop

Good to see you doing well as always. I don’t blame you booking York again either. You are an influence to spend though, I’ve been looking at a couple of short breaks this morning for later on in the year.

It was a brilliant couple of days away. Can't wait to go again next year now. They have put the site fees up though when I have rebooked. Still a lot cheaper than a hotel at £39 a night but £8 a night more than we have paid this year.

Still happy to pay that for the location though.

RS - The club sites have gone up so much and the website is awful ( according to the way ds moans every time he tries to book something) whilst at the caravan show a couple of weeks ago….we tried the caravan and camping club to see what the difference is…..we haven’t booked anywhere yet…but looks ok. Some sites like York are worth paying for though.

The new CAMC website and app are absolute garbage. Took an age to make the booking this morning.

It is a great idea that they have brought deposits in though to stop people block booking sites "just in case"

We joined the Caravan and Camping Club as well last year to go to the site next door to Diddly Squat Farm (Clarksons Farm) It's the only site we have used of theirs so far and it was alright. Their website is far better though. We are booked on one of their 5 pitch sites in Norfolk later in the year so will have to renew our membership again this year.

Next year we will probably keep one or the other but probably not both.

That’s our plan too RS - decide which we use most and then ditch the other.
Were going to Dorset in March but that’s a Haven site  midweek - really good value. Depending on the weather will pad the trip out staying enroute at different sites.
