Yes we are. Fantastic location. Not the prettiest of sites, more of a car park really, but you can forgive it that with where it is.
  • I love a trip to the designer outlet in York, enjoy yourself!

We had a great day yesterday. Both feeling a bit jaded this morning but I'm sure we will shake it off. The dog is shattered.

We have some friends who live nearby coming to see us today so it will be another busy day.

When we are ready we have a full English for breakfast but I think we will go and take the dog for a walk in the park first.

I think we are eating out tonight. Not sure where yet though.
  • We haven't been to York city for years, last time we went we ate in a little restaurant called The Blue Bicycle, it was lovely! Not sure if it survived the pandemic though

Hope you both perk up a bit and have a lovely day

I know what you mean about the site in York. Fantastic location we stayed there with our old caravan before we kept it to Cornwall. There’s one in Bristol very similar just a short walk along the river.

We had another brilliant day out in York yesterday with friends.

After plenty of walking, we clocked up 22k steps, and plenty of drinking, we headed back to the van with a takeaway curry from the Indian behind the site. It was very good will definitely use it again.

Today we sadly have to head home. No rush off though. We will take the dog for a walk in the park first and have breakfast. I'm thinking bacon, mushroom and eggy bread this morning.

It may well be a no spends day today but I'm not calling it yet. We have roast pork and all the trimmings later on for dinner.

I need to give the van a good clean inside when we get back. It has its hab check on Friday so it needs to look its best.

Officially declaring a no spends day today. Number 10 for January so we did make double figures.

The weather was so nice when we got home that we decided we would wash the outside of the van as well and the roof and underside. It needed it. It was filthy. It looks much better now. Much more presentable.

We have taken the dog for a walk around town this afternoon. He wasn't overly enthusiastic. Think he is tired out. Don't think he will be any trouble this afternoon. He has gone straight to bed.

Dinner is prepared for later. One load of washing done and the van mats are I'm the wash now. Think that's enough jobs for a Sunday.

Time to chill out with a couple of beers now.
  • Great photos.  Sounds like a great weekend.
