    Good morning all. It is another cold and frosty start to the day here in the Midlands. I think it is the last cold morning forecast for a while though.

    It is a no spends day today. Number 8 for January. I don't think we will make double digits this month though. We have a few spendy days coming up.

    Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is jerk pork loin with lime and coriander rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the kitchen 
    Our latest energy statement arrived yesterday. Another one a tad over £200. We still have loads of credit left though, £240 which will more than see us through the rest of this winter. We will leave the excess credit in the account for next winter and although our monthly payment is looking as though it is about £40 a month more than it needs to be I think we will leave that as well so that we have a decent chunk of credit built up for next winter. Who knows what energy prices will be by then!!
