Not a no spends day today. We need to go to the farm shop today and we are heading to the garden centre at lunchtime. Shouldn't be massively spendy though.
Breakfast today is a full English and dinner later is beef madras with rice and vegetable samosa.
I need to get the van bedding washed and back on the van this weekend. We are now going to a friends house with it next weekend for a wine and cheese evening. Then have asked if we can bring our own accommodation as they will have a house full already. Suits us just fine 🙂

The dog is happy now he has seen the fish. Have never known a dog so obsessed with fish.
As predicted not a spendy day in total and that might be the limit of the spends this weekend. I'm aiming for a no spends day tomorrow.
The dog is now walked, fed and watered so he is now as snug as a bug in bed. The curry is in the slow cooker. So I make it time for an afternoon tipple.3 -
🤣🤣 That fish with its mouth wide open looks fascinated with your dog 🤣🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Cheap way to waste an hour 🙂
The staff in the aquatics shop find it hilarious how much our dog loves the fish. He is like a cartoon dog on the slippery floor going towards the koi pool 🙈1 -
I had a free coffee from a cafe today too, have a decent machine in my office but had a little walk to get my free coffee. Always a bit better when it's free haha.
I've said before you're lucky you can take your dog in places like that, if we dared take our dog somewhere like that he'd cause absolute !!!!!! havoc, half the stock would be broken, we'd be thrown out with a massive bill and told never to come back. We've been told by various people he'll calm down by this age, next year rolls around, get told the same thing and nothing has changed apart from he's a lot better at home these days idk never again.1 -

Unless there are other dogs then he is a bit of a nightmare. He isn't a dog person 🤣🤣🤣2 -
We are aiming for a no spends day today. Not declaring it just yet though. Plans can change.
Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Full English for breakfast and roast pork and all the trimmings later on for dinner.
Not much planned for today other than a couple of dog walks. I need to put the van bedding back on but that's about it really.
We had an early night last night. We are both still really tired from the illness we had over Christmas. I'm wide awake now but the other half and the dog are both snoring away. Will leave them be for a little while.0 -
Didn't end up being a no spends day in the end. We had a drive out into Derbyshire. Got free parking which was an unexpected bonus but we did make a start on next year's Christmas hampers with some handmade soaps.
So there we have it Christmas shopping 2023 is started 🤣🤣🤣
The dog thoroughly enjoyed his walk and being spoiled by the shop owners.
We have got home just in time. The weather has turned horrible and wet now.
Dinner is prepared for later and the bedding is back on the van. Time to chill out now.5 -
I know that place well. We used to go there a lot on day trips. Not been for a while though….in fact the last few times we’ve not found anywhere to park and driven on. I’m impressed you’ve managed a walk as it’s piddled down here all day.January spends - £587.581
