I think we should paint a red cross on the front door and seal the house off to the outside world.
The other half has now come down with the lurg. We reckon he is probably at the stage today that I was at on Friday. He has just gone to pick up a click and collect shop. No way could I have done that yesterday. Getting off the sofa was an ordeal.
I definitely feel somewhat better today. I'm off the sofa, for now anyway, and we have just taken the dog for a stroll around the pond.
We are hoping the other half hasn't infected the family in time for Christmas!
The family that were supposed to be visiting us today are now coming next Saturday instead. No way do we want to pass this onto the elderly!
Breakfast when we feel like it is going to be egg and soldiers and the other half is getting some salad to go with the roast chicken later. Don't want a full meal.
In fact I have not eaten properly since Thursday dinner time. I just don't feel like it. Yesterday was ice cream for lunch and a slice of pizza for dinner. Really not very healthy at all.
Today will be another duvet day on the sofa watching some films I think.
Must be ill. There has been no alcohol consumption either this weekend 🤣🤣🤣0 -
Hopefully you both will be feeling much better in time for Christmas 🤞 Mine lasted about a week before I started feeling more human.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Another duvet day for the two of us. This virus is refusing and to shift.
On the plus side it will make it another spends day.
The dog is being a proper nanny for us checking we are both alright. He keeps coming and snuggling up with us.2 -

We have both rung in sick.
The other half's boss has it and is off sick. Guess there will probably be others as well but he doesn't know yet.
There are about 50% of people off with it on my floor of the office. So it is a pretty potent virus whatever it is.
No one is testing positive for Covid though. Although it does have striking similarities with that.0 -
Get well soon, hope you can both shift this horrible virus before Christmas.

Oh goodness that really sounds horrible - hopefully you'll both be on the mend soon. As for what you've been eating "not being very healthy" - nonsense. Wearing yourselves out trying to cook "healthy balanced meals" while your body tries to fight off a nasty sounding virus and you don't really fancy a full meal anyway would ALSO not be very healthy. Just eat what you fancy and concentrate on trying to get some calories in to support your body doing its thing!
