We are now back home again. Had a nice steady 2.5 hour drive back with the air conditioning on.

The van is unpacked and the first load of washing is on the line to dry. Will do another load in a little while.

The pork joint is in the fridge marinating for later.

The house is red hot. We have all of the windows and doors open. Looking forward to some shade on the patio in the next couple of hours.

I have started with a horrible summer cold. Been testing for Covid but they are negative for that so must just be a cold just in time for work tomorrow!

Looks like you have had a great holiday helped no doubt by the nice weather although hopefully not too hot for the dog. I have been walking my DDs border collie early morning and early evening as too hot down here. Great pics.
It's been a bit hot for the dog the last few days. It's not too bad when we are driving with the air con on.

We were parked in the shade last night which helped keep the van cooler and we had the roof fan on all night which helps.

Dog is currently flaked out on the vinyl floor under the kitchen table.

We are at home next weekend for a family bbq and to give the van a good clean, it's come back filthy!

Pie pub again the weekend after that.

I'm sick of sneezing and blowing my nose now 🤣🤣🤣

Early night tonight and I will hopefully feel a bit better tomorrow. Hope so anyway,  it's going to be too hot for feeling rubbish with a cold 🙄

First day back at work today. As usual there was a morning's worth of emails to sift through. One of which was very welcome. I have been awarded a 3% + £750 pay rise as of the beginning of the month which is very welcome.

The rest of the emails were less exciting :)

On the plus side my cold seems a bit better today. I'm definitely sneezing less and have less snot, sorry that might be a bit graphic for lunchtime!

No jobs to do tonight. We will just get home and chill out in the garden. We have got some stuff out of the freezer for a BBQ tonight. It will be far too hot in the house to cook again.

Sunset looks amazing, brilliant way to end the holiday.

How was Clarkson’s farm, much to do or literally just a farm shop/ cafe? We were only just down the road from there on Saturday, went to Bicester Village.

It is a farm shop, cafe and bar. So not loads to do but we really enjoyed it.

The other half enjoyed meeting Kaleb.

We will definitely go back when we are heading home from the south again next year.
