Another busy day.

First stop was to Blackgang view point.
And then onto Compton Beach hunting for dinosaur footprints.

We were going to head back across the island to Ryde but we are planning to visit the Needles again tomorrow to see the parts we missed out earlier in the week so that didn't make anyy sense. So we are back at Fort Victoria for tonight.
We like it here so no loss.
It was almost a no spends day but we found a lovely bar on the beach and had a couple of cocktails.

Don't know what happened to the last set of pictures.

Oh this could be fish & chip wars - you absolutely can't beat the "Aldeburgh Fish & Chip Shop" in our view - it's always cracking, the only downside being the long queue as so many others agree! Then along the road a way for ice cream to follow from Ives - well, if you've still got room after the F&C! (Southwold IS lovely though - especially the pier which is fantastic!RelievedSheff said:
Nice to hear from you Alt.alt80 said:Beaches look stunning, safe travels and hope the weather stays as nice as it looks in your photos.
Said to you on here before that your photos of your travels have made me want to see a little more of the UK, we have centre parcs with in-laws upcoming and I mentioned Suffolk would be nice a while back after some of your photos. Well my wife booked a summer stay in Aldeburgh whilst I was away, not camping but staying in a little cottage and taking our dog too.
You will love Suffolk. It is beautiful.
Get yourselves to Mrs T's at Southwold for fish and chips. It isn't far from Aldeburgh.
Enjoy Centre Parcs.
Keep calling in buddy 😀
RS you look to be having an amazing tie and it's just cemented my view that I really want to get to the Isle of Wight at some stage!
On the phone thing - I'm a huge fan of putting a little aside each month then keeping a phone for as long as possible - currently paying around £9 a month for my SIM only deal, phone was bought outright from the start, then I immediately started the savings pot up again - the plan is that this one will last at least another 2 - 3 years although it might well need a replacement battery in that time.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

He is continually shattered at the minute 🤣🤣🤣Sun_Addict said:I love your photos. Your dog is so lucky to go to such amazing places.
He is in bed now.
He is being so spoiled, the island is so dog friendly. We ordered cocktails at The Boathouse on the beach and they brought them out with a bowl of sausage and gravy bones for the dog.
Needn't have brought any of his dog biscuits with us. He has hardly eaten any 😆2 -
Thank you both for the F&C recommendations will have to be very good to beat our local one. They are meant to be the best in the country and really are very good so I can believe it. That said, you really can’t beat Fish and Chips by the sea. Might try both if the Mrs will let me off the diet for a couple of days, I have been fed too well over this past month so we’ll see.
Isle of Wight cliff top walk looks lovely. I show that picture to my Mrs she’ll be booking a stay there too, loves her holidays.
Don’t pay for any phones personally anymore, have them all on business tariff. Weaned my wife onto one iPhone every other year, she loves her tech and even she reckons improvements have become less between models so skipping a model not the end of the world.
All I’m hearing from everywhere is cost of living crisis this and that. I’m in a fortunate position ultimately, sometimes takes time to reflect but I know life could be a whole lot worse. Actually sent an email to my tenants today telling them I will not be making any increases to rents over the coming year. My tenanted houses are lower value stock and a lot of my tenants are really feeling the increases in the cost of fuel / utilities and my costs won’t increase over this coming year for those units. Had some really lovely emails back over today from tenants, really nice to be able to give them a little bit of reassurance. Anyway we are the fortunate ones who can still afford to enjoy holidays etc in increasingly difficult times for some of the population.6 -
Bless you Alt for not raising rents. I am sure your tenants are very grateful.

@alt80 your tenants must be so grateful to have such a considerate landlord, a little bit of certainty in these unsettling times 🤗Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
