That dinner looks lovely, definitely my kind of meal.  I  quite often grate carrots, cheese and red onion and mix with a bit of salad cream for a sandwich filling. This time last week I was walking along the seafront enjoying the sun, today wrapped up in jumper and coat enjoying a wet walk.xx
Oh. I like that carrot, cheese and onion mayo idea. Might nick that one for tomorrows sandwiches. Might have it in some wholemeal pitta breads. Thanks for that.

I hope the weather brightens for you, it took all my efforts this morning to get our dog into the garden, he hates the rain!

It is chucking it down here. Had all on getting the dog into the car at lunchtime. He wasn't going to enjoy a walk so we went and got a coffee and sat in the car for half an hour instead. At least it got him out of the office for a little while to break his day up a bit. He is back in the office and gone straight to bed now.

It's so lovely that he can go to work with you. Not sure what mine would do if I had to go back to the office and leave him.

He goes to work with the other half. He has been to my office a few times but it is not the norm for us to have pets in the office and he can only come when we have no other option.

He sits in reception at the garage with the receptionist. But she only works part time. She has Wednesdays off so he is on his own all day (well not quite people do come in and out of the office all day)

He loves it. We couldn't have him otherwise as we are out of the house for nearly 12 hours a day and it wouldn't be fair on him to stay at home for that long on his own.

The receptionist is retiring in June. They are advertising for a new receptionist now and part of the job description is "must like dogs"  :D
  • Haha "must like dogs" I love it :D

We have a blind colleague who obviously has his guide dog with him in the office. Although you can’t approach the dog when he’s guiding you can when he’s just sitting by the desk. He’s such a lovely loyal dog. My dog would run riot if she came to the office with me 😆

So much for no jobs today. Realised I hadn't put the washing machine on so that's on now. Hopefully it will dry today!

Came down from having a shower to find the other half cleaning out the toaster which somehow led onto me cleaning the kettle.

The dog didn't get a long walk. The rain had turned to snow and neither of us was dressed for the occasion 😕

In one of our local stores there is a hearing dog. His owner  is a lovely lady who lip reads perfectly and the dog just lies at the till with her while she works.

Snow good heavens I am glad I dont live where you do. It has been dull all day and is now raining.

Definitely not a no spends day today. I have taxed the van, we have filled the car up with diesel and we have a home shopping delivery coming this evening. Good job it's pay day!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work, (trying the cheese, carrot and onion with a dollop of mayo in pitta breads today) and dinner tonight is a slow cooked lamb neck, chilli, garlic and mint casserole which I have stuck in the slow cooker this morning served in a giant Yorkshire pudding with some greens.

    Tonight's jobs include:
    • vacuuming the house
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • putting away the home shopping delivery
    • walking the dog
The snow didn't really settle at home. We had a very light dusting this morning. Driven into Sheffield this morning and it is snowing more here but still not too bad.

We just keep getting the few odd flakes of snow here. The pavements and rooftops were covered in frost where I live but once I reached the city centre there was no sign of it.
