I’m not very good at sitting down and doing nothing full stop. I feel guilty and think I should be getting on with something 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

It has been a busy day but it does mean that I have less to do for the rest of the week when I am working again. I have given myself a head start.

It will be a no spends day today. Number 2 for January.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having noodles for my lunch and dinner tonight is pork loin chops with chips and vegetables.

    Jobs today include:
    • working from home
    • dusting the house
    • walking the dog x 2

I foolishly thought that today would be a quiet first day back at work with a lot of people booking this week off. How wrong could I be. A lot of the people who should have started back today are off sick. Not ideal!!

I thought the same as you but the people who were in over Christmas and off this week had sent requests through to me that kept me busy most of the day.

Not a no spends day today. I have a home shopping delivery coming after lunch.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having butternut squash and sage soup for my lunch and dinner tonight is vegetable quiche with chips and vegetables.

    Todays jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • sorting and putting away the home shopping delivery
    • walking the dog x 2

Six substitutions on the shopping today and I didn't order that much. At least they were sensible ones though and we did quite well out of a few of them, they should have cost much more than we were charged.

They were also late with the delivery. I felt quite sorry for the poor chap, he has had to pick up extra deliveries due to staff illnesses. He looked shattered.
