You really do see the best in things @RelievedSheff why I find you a bit of an inspiration tbh mate I’ve always struggled to make the best of a situation and here you are stuck in a field and you’ve found something positive from it. Did you get your three bird roast cooked in the end?
    3 bird roast was delicious.

Now sat listening to the rain hammering on the roof. It's not going to make it easy for us to get out today 🤣🤣🤣

Farmer is coming at 10am with the 4x4 to hopefully get us out.

Should be a low spends day today.

Breakfast is from stores, a sausage sandwich but we are having a takeaway curry later on.

Today we are, hopefully, heading for home assuming we can get out of this field. Wouldn't bother me to be stuck here another day but the other half is supposed to be at work tomorrow.

Haha not a chance I’d cope with that fml. I can see the funny side being sat at home rn but there’s no !!!!!! way I would if I was stuck in the middle of a field in a van, genuinely don’t know how you do it lol.

Really hope the farmer gets your van out and you get home safely mate.

We got off the field although we were worried we wouldn't at one point. The 4x4 was slipping on the wet ground 😕

Now back at home with the van unloaded and back on the drive. I will start cleaning the inside tomorrow,  the outside can wait until next weekend.

We have taken the Christmas decorations down as well and put them away. The living room looks bare now.

Glad you didn’t get stranded. Our decorations are coming down tomorrow, although I’ve already taken a few down. We’ve got a lighted twig tree and garland that stay up all year round so it doesn’t look too bare. Doesn’t seem like 5 minutes since they went up.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

It will be a no spends day today. The first of the new year.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Bacon sandwich for breakfast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I have some leftover meat and cheese for my lunch and dinner tonight is salmon, rice and vegetables.

The other half is working today, I have the day off. So I have tasked myself with clearing out and cleaning all of the kitchen cupboards. I will make a start on cleaning the inside of the van as well and run the vacuum cleaner round. Got a couple of loads of bedding to wash and dry as well. The dog will also need a couple of decent walks.

    Busy day ahead.

I'm not very good at just sitting down and doing nothing when I'm in the house on my own 🤣🤣🤣

A bit odd maybe but I prefer keeping myself busy.

The kitchen is now done. Not sure how the cupboards collect so much junk. The two lots of bedding are washed, dried and back on the relevant beds, the van had had a good interior clean, that looks a lot better now, the water system on the van is drained down, dog has been for his lunchtime walk and had his dinner and for good measure the bathrooms have had a quick once over.

I might go and watch an hours TV now before I find another job to do 😁
