Not a no spends day today. We need to go to the farm shop today.

Breakfast will be from stores, eggy bread today. I need to pick a joint of meat up for dinner. Will probably be a chicken from the farm shop.

We have the other half's brother coming over this afternoon for a visit. He is a chef so usually busy working at weekends. Not very often we get the chance to meet up so it will be nice to see them. No doubt we will put the world to rights over a few beers.

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. It was crumpets for breakfast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is chicken and mushroom pasta with garlic bread.

Not planning to do any jobs tonight after work. It will be a quiet night and an early night to bed I should think.

Scrap that. It won't be a no spends day after all. The other half has just confirmed that they have been given some extra time off over Christmas and New Years so we are going to book in for a few nights over New Years at the Pinewoods campsite at Wells Next The Sea.

We have been trying all summer to get a booking on that site and have not been able to find availability when we have wanted it but they are showing plenty of availability for the New Years period.

We used to love going to Wells on the boat but we always had to keep one eye on the weather and the sea conditions for getting back home again. It will be nice not to have to worry about that this time :)

Just need to get through to the booking line now.
  • Oh that will be lovely such a nice place to start the New Year x
