It won't be a no spends day today. I need to pop to the shops after work to pick up some bread and a couple of bits for the van for the weekend.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today though. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is steak, chips, onion rings, garlic mushroom and grilled tomatoes which we should have been having yesterday!

Need to get a few bits done around the house tonight and I need to remember to pop into the van and turn the fridge on.

Thanks for the reminder @RelievedSheff!  We're going away for the weekend and also need to pop out and turn the fridge on and plug in the electric ready to put the food in for the weekend.  Looking forward to getting away again even though the forecast isn't brilliant - it's forecast rain every day!

We are only out for a couple of nights. Meeting some friends at a pub about half an hour down the road. We used to go a lot by boat and the friends we are meeting used to have a boat but now have a motorhome and some other friends who are dropping in to see us who live over the river they also used to have a boat. So it will be good to have a decent catch up.

It will be equally good on Sunday morning to only have to drive half an hour home rather than the 4 hour cruise we used to have back to the marina with the boat and then the hours drive home :)

We're only out for a couple of nights too.  We both have our Booster jabs on Friday so can't go until after that and need to be back on Sunday as DH has a dental appointment.  We're also hoping to get away again for a weekend in a couple of weeks time.  We rarely go more than an hour away for a couple of nights.

That's what we are finding that for weekend trips an hour is about the most we want to travel. We are lucky that we have loads of nice places within about an hours range of home where we can stay.

We are out in a couple of weeks as well. Heading out into the Peak District weather dependant. Think we are out the weekend after as well. A friend is having a party but has run out of accomodation for people to stay over so we said we will take our own :)

The motorhome is definitely good as extra accommodation!  We've used ours on the drive when we've had both DDs and their families for Christmas.  Doesn't happen these days as we quite often go away in the motorhome.  This year we're planning on going to France for Christmas and New Year assuming nothing changes with being able to go away!

    France sounds good for Christmas.

It is!  We've done it a few times over the years we've had the motorhome.  One year we were in Northern France and sitting out on Christmas Day in T-shirt and shorts drinking a glass of wine outside - was brilliant!  Hope the weather isn't too bad when we go this year.

I'm sure you'll enjoy New Yea in your van too.

We had a few Christmas on the boat.

We almost always had new years on it because the pub on the marina used to have a cracking party every year.

Looking forward to New Year's this year now. Will be nice to have it somewhere different for the first time in a long time.

Think we will be at home for Christmas though. I don't expect we will have company either this year. Just us and the dog. Sure we will make the most of it 😀
