We love Wells as well. One of our favourite places we went with the boat probably only beaten to the top spot by Southwold and we go there later next year as well :)

Hopefully the butchers on Staithe Street will be open because I really want to get some of their amazing black treacle bacon.

It's Wells next the Sea rather then on the sea :)

Beautiful small town on the North Norfolk coast. Would originally have been a fishing town but tourism is probably the main money maker for the town now, although there is still an active fishing fleet and a number of windfarm vessels work from the outer harbour there now as well.

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is sirloin steak with air fried smoked paprika chips, beer battered onion rings, garlic mushroom and grilled cherry tomatoes.

Not planning on doing much in the way of cleaning tonight. I have a load of washing on which should be dry when we get home and I will have a quick wipe around in the kitchen when we have finished dinner but that will be about it today.

Sounds like a brilliant way to spend new year @RelievedSheff

I keep considering a trip to North Norfolk next year and do a 3/4 day boat hire. My Mrs likes the sound of it, not mentioned it to son as he'll want to already know but idk it's the kind of thing I'd wind up enjoying and want to buy a boat lol.

That's how we ended up buying ours after a few hire boat holidays on the Norfolk Broads.

We love it on the Broads.

Do it. You will love life at 4mph 🤣🤣🤣

The traffic is terrible today. Not got home yet and we set off at 5pm. KFC for dinner instead tonight if we ever get there 😳

Heard on the radio earlier there’s been an accident between Sheffield and Worksop.

Yes. The M1 has been shut all day. A lorry has gone through the barrier and off the road so they are doing emergency repairs apparently.

To top the evening off it took 20 minutes of waiting for our food.

Still never mind. At least we all got home safe and are fed. Time to get showered now and have a sit down for an hour.
