Judging the amount of Lily Kitchen pet food donated to the foodbank a lot of pets maybe don't like it.
Our dog is a bit fussy with food and it's one of the only brands he likes that agrees with his stomach 🤔

You probably already know but you can get Lily’s Kitchen direct from them online, used to get my dog’s from them but she went off it for some reason.

Have you tried online at Zo0plus for Lily's Kitchen?  If you go via Top Cashback you'll get a bit of discount too.

To be honest we have not looked at online. Now I'm not work from home getting deliveries is more difficult. We are not currently allowed them to the office.

We need to go to the farm shop and the supermarket for bread today so another spends day in store.

Full English for breakfast this morning and roast chicken with all the trimmings later on for dinner.

We plan to take the dog out for a good long walk today. Not sure where yet.

We have decided we are going to head to York after breakfast. Not been for years now.

A few days ago I managed to book us a couple of nights in January just after my birthday on the caravan club site in the city, it is literally a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of York. Unsurprisingly given the location it is normally fully booked for weekends, but we were lucky and got a cancellation slot.

So we are going to check out the location and let the dog explore a new city to him. He will love it.

You might have already set off but just to be aware it’s the York marathon today so you might need to avoid some routes.

The campsite in York is brilliant- we used to stay in our caravan before we permanently parked it tin Cornwall. We were taking about a few days in the winter months as there is always something to do in York. Love it there. Have a great time and hopefully you won’t get caught in the marathon traffic as we did in the Manchester marathon last weekend 😳

Traffic was surprisingly light considering the marathon had been on.

We had a lovely few hours walking around the city. We realised when we were walking around that it would be 11 years since we last visited York and that would have been by boat. Daft when it's only an hour up the road!

We are really looking forward to going back in January now.

We were too late for the farm shop when we got back so went to the supermarket instead. The shelves were pretty bare. I managed to find a joint of beef for dinner, there was no chicken or pork and they only had tiny legs of lamb which were £25 and I was not paying that much. Glad we got the fruit and vegetables yesterday as there was hardly anything on the shelves in that department!

Think we are going to make sure that we have the kitchen cupboards well stocked again this winter. Need to restock the garage freezer as well.

Glad you missed the traffic. It must be around 11 years since we were last in York too. More than an hour for us, probably around 2 hours, still not bad though. Since the start of Covid I’ve kept a decent stock of the essentials, I don’t let them run down now, learned my lesson there. I found the smaller shops had decent stock levels but a bit pricier than the bigger shops.
