It will be a bit more of a spendy day today. We are heading to Coniston. Another night on a car park at the Coniston Sports and Social Club. Bit pricey at £16 a night but you are paying for the location with this one right in the middle of town.
Breakfast and dinner will be from stores
. Porridge for breakfast and steak pie with chips and vegetables later for dinner.
Need to get up and stick a couple of quid in the parking meter again soon. We had a really quiet night here last night. We will stay here again. Hopefully in better weather next time 😀

Don't be fooled by the pictures. I nippedout during a very brief dry spell to take those 🤣🤣🤣0 -

Lovely pics. We stayed in the Lake District in 2019 and did Windermere, Ullswater, Coniston and Derwent Water. Beautiful scenery and we were lucky with the weather. Glad the rain did not spoil your break though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. It is evening itself out with spendy days followed by cheap days it seems. Yesterday we spent the grand total of £9 on parking.LittleMissDetermined said:I think you can be allowed spendy days when you are on holiday x
It certainly doesn't seem to be an expensive way of travelling.2 -
