It is probably going to be quite a spendy day today.
We are treating ourselves to a McDonald's breakfast shortly and then will be heading up the A1 towards the Lakes. We are stopping a bit short of the lakes today and are booked into a pub for dinner and a few drinks later in return we are parking in their car park overnight.
The other half is already struggling with his hay-fever.
My turn to drive the van today.

Well we have not picked the best weather for it!
Had a very soggy run up the A1 to Barnard Castle. It is still very pretty here in the rain though.

We had to sit outside under the covers with the heaters on. We stayed dry though and the food was excellent.0 -

Had a cracking day yesterday and it turned out we were served our drinks by the lady mayor in the first pub we were in. The locals are all really friendly.
We will certainly stay here again when we are in the area.1
