We don't really go to many hotels. We much prefer having our own accomodation and facilities with us.

Just had my invite for my second vaccination. So that is booked in for Saturday morning. They have gotten around to the second vaccines in our area really quickly. It will only be six weeks between jabs for both of us.

    It is.

Helps with the dog as well that he is in familiar surroundings when we are away. He loves exploring new places but he likes to know where he is sleeping and eating :)

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having some stewing steak and veg for my lunch and dinner tonight is homemade chicken kievs with chips and vegetables.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • load of washing (dried in the dryer, it's wet outside today)
    • bathing the dog
    • walking the dog x 2
We have a Friday night at home tonight for a change. Nothing planned other than chilling out on the sofa with a few beers and a couple of films.

Happy Friday your evening sounds a lot less frantic than the past few unless you’ve got everything packed in the van ready to go.

H/m chicken Kiev wow that takes me back my dad used to do those, they were absolutely delicious but remember going to another kids house for dinner one day and they had some shop bought ones - they were genuine disgusting lol.

We are not away in the van this weekend. We have friends coming over to stay on Saturday night.

We wouldn't be away this weekend anyway I don't think. We need to get the van ready for our first proper holiday starting the next weekend. Think tomorrows job is getting it out onto the road and giving the exterior a good scrub. Then Sunday will be spent giving the interior a good clean and fettle. Can then spend next week bitting and batting at loading it up ready to set off next Saturday morning.

It's handy having it at home so we can get it cleaned and loaded up ready to go away. Don't know how people do it when they have them in storage. Must be a nightmare!!
