Appraisal went well. It is just a box ticking exercise.

Should find out next week about any pay review. Pay is reviewed every January and June.

It will be a no spends day today. They seem to be a bit thin on the ground this month!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having a jacket potato with cheese for my lunch and dinner tonight is slow cooked goat curry with rice, onion bhaji and naan bread.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the windows inside
    • cutting the grass
    • making curry
    • walking the dog x 2

Re no spends being thin on the ground that’s because you’re out all the time ha. 😆

Goat curry sounds nice. What sort of curry do you make?

Usually make a Madras with the goat (rather than a Caribbean type curry)

When we get back off holiday we do need to schedule in a couple of quieter low spend weekends. Have got a few places in mind where we can do this.

I made goat curry yesterday but it's going in the freezer for another day.  Didn't use all the goat so I've left some in the fridge marinading to make jerk goat, again that will be going in the freezer.  It's always useful to have home made ready meals in the freezer for CBA'd days!

I'm spending enough time at home as it is. It's nice to get out and see something different at the weekend.

We are used to being away most weekends so it is odd to us when we have a weekend at home. If we use the van anything like we used the boat then we will use it in winter as well.

Some of the best weekends away we had with the boat were in the winter when the rivers were quieter. We will just need to keep an eye on the weather and make sure we don't get the van stuck anywhere in snow and ice!
