Traffic has been a challenge towards the Lakes the last few weeks - I hope you get lucky (and haven't picked the narrowest, windiest roads once you're there either lol)

The numbers look nice and steady - car loan only months to go looks particularly useful as I don't think you're planning a replacement short term.

I hope its not rude to say but its hard to imagine how you got a CCJ at all - I know its a while ago but the steady plans and debt busting are so far removed from that. It will be a great thing to say goodbye to for good next month. Good luck with the 0% transfers.

@warby68 we all know you think I’m a !!!!!! but fwiw I can’t really see how Sheff wound up with a CCJ either. As I say inspiring mindset 100%.

We are planning to keep the Hyundai until it starts to become problematic. It will then be replaced at the first sign of trouble from it. We don't expect that to be for a long while. It has given us no trouble so far.

We got in a right old knot with our finances. I had 4 CCJ's at one point and a charging order on the house. I'm not even sure how we dug ourselves out of that hole because there was no real plan. It was more luck than judgement that is for sure. Things definitely look a lot more rosy now on the finances front and we are determined that we will never end up in the situation we were in again. We are definitely a lot more sensible with our money now.

I have said it before but a lot of our money problems stemmed from the boat and just how much that thing cost to run and maintain. We were foolish not to have gotten rid of it a lot sooner. Still we are where we are and at least there is an end in sight now.

Pleased to hear the problematic years are behind you. I’m pretty sure you’ll never see those days again 👍

Not a bad idea to replace when it starts giving you trouble re car.

FML that does sound bad mate, !!!!!! lucky to still have a house by the sounds of it. Ultimately it seems you've 'learned your lesson', definitely you've moved on and as you say things looking up. Tbh probably my biggest motivator for trying to work towards sorting the personal side out myself is my own paranoia that I could easily end up in the sort of situation you did or worse tbh I'd be totally !!!!!! in all sorts of ways if I couldn't pay my debts and have been closer to that than I'd like to admit.

We had the heating on. Was toasty warm in here. Mind you we ended up in the pub longer than we said we would be.

Got chatting to our new temporary neighbours and the drink got flowing :)

    Match was rubbish!

It could end up being a spendy day again today.

We are booked in for breakfast in the pub at 9am. Think I will cook later though. Steak pie, chips and mint and chilli mushy peas.

We are going to take the dog for a long walk along the river today before we end up in the pub for a few drinks.

Haha thought you’d have not been able to resist the pub. Does the home bit of the motor home have its own heating then? Or have you had the engine running all night? Probably a bit of a dumb question idk.

It has its own heating. Runs from gas when not plugged in or electric if you are plugged in. It is really very efficient and very quiet.

Not had it on all night. Turned it off when we went to bed and it was still 20 degrees when we got up this morning.
