What a disappointment and very annoying. First sending the van to the wrong dealership now this. I hope they offer you something to make up for it.

Quite possibly their own cashflow is the issue hence the less than convincing explanations.

    Very frustrating though.

Fingers crossed - if it went by BACS yesterday its still possible.

They dont sound as if they know what they are doing. first the van was delivered to the wrong place now finance problem. I would be hopping mad and be demading that it is sorted immediately. Their problems should not be yours.

The problem we have is that they are the only UK dealers for the make of van we want. So the vast majority of them end up being sold and resold through them.

As angry as we are with them we can't shoot ourselves in the foot either 🤔

In theory the BACS payment should clear with Black Horse tomorrow but then it depends how long their internal accounts department take to allot the funds to the right account.

We are not getting our hopes up!

Not a no spends day today. We have an Asda home shopping delivery coming this afternoon.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores though. Breakfast is crumpets, lunch will be pizza and dinner tonight is pork chops with bbq sweet potato wedges, onion rings, corn on the cob, garlic mushroom and grilled cherry tomatoes.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • putting away the home shopping delivery
    • taking delivery of yet more van stuff
    • walking the dog
The dogs new bed for the van arrived yesterday. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it I don't think. It is different to his other three beds in the house. I think he thought it was a toy. He was dragging it around and biting it :)

The other half will take the dog out for a long walk again this morning. Not sure what else he will be up to today.

We will both be waiting for any news about the van!

No news on the van so I'm guessing that the BACS payment has not cleared today and we will be waiting until tomorrow now.

We have decided to cheer ourselves up with a BBQ after work. So it will be pork chop, goat chop and steak burgers with garlic mushrooms and corn on the cob instead for dinner tonight.

BBQ sounds lovely!  Weather is pretty good too.  Enjoy.

There's still another banking day this week so could still happen (hopefully)!

I will keep everything crossed for you 🤞
  • Sorry to hear of the troubles with the van, I can't believe they didn't send the BACS the day they took it in as part-ex! That's what should have happened in any case... Hope you get some kind of sweetener.

BBQ sounds ace, we haven't cracked ours out yet this year and I'm quite jealous!
