Absolutely.  We've got 2 Gaslow cylinders as well.  We were away for a month a couple of years ago and filled with gas before going to France; filled up when we got back and we'd only used about £8 worth of gas!  The other advantage of course is that you don't have to keep dragging bottles out of the van, swapping them even though they're not completely empty, and then having to put them back in.  We usually just top up the gas when we fill up with diesel.

Makes sense about the Avtex not having the DVD players any more - they were nothing but trouble!  Don't know of anyone's whose lasted longer than about 14 months when it was out of warranty!

    Why is nothing ever simple?

We might not be able to pick the van up on Monday now. The dealership only decided to pay the outstanding finance on the van yesterday, by BACS of course which takes a few days to clear.

Quite understandably our finance company won't release the funds until they have confirmation from Black Horse that they have no further interest in the van.

Our finance company are ready to press the button and send the funds instantly but need this confirmation before they can.

We are both really quite annoyed with the dealership. After they were chasing for our contribution they could have at least got their own ducks in a row first.

Looks like I might have a few wasted days annual leave next week 😡

How annoying....can you alter your leave to the following week? You’d think they’d have had it all in order ready to go 😡

The sales person we are dealing with claims that this branch knew nothing about the finance because the part exchange was dealt with by a different branch.

I don't really believe a word he says. Someone somewhere has cocked up.

    That shouldn't be our problem🤔

I could change my leave to the week after but that is when the other half is due back at work so he would have to take a,week off instead and he has less annual leave than me to start with.

Sorry to hear that.  That is so annoying, no wonder you are p****d off - I would be too.  Hope something gets sorted in the next couple of days.

We are hoping so but not really holding our breath 😥

We will be looking for some kind of sweetener to the deal if it extends beyond Monday even if it is just road tax and a tank of fuel.

We almost pulled the plug on the deal earlier we were so disgusted.

Think we have calmed down a bit now and realised mistakes do happen. Still isn't our fault though. 😕

Definitely try and get something in compensation - road tax and a tank of fuel would be a great result.

I think you know you would have regretted it if you had pulled the plug knowing that the van you want doesn't come onto the market very often.  It could be a very long time before another one is available near you.
