Time to Face The Music

That's work done for another week. PC put away, emails turned off, had a quick shower, dog walked, back in the house just as the rain started, good timing for once. Time to crack open a beer shortly while I wait for the other half to get home.

It won't be a no spends day today. We need to get some fruit and vegetables from the farm shop and we are going to the garden centre to get some more plants for the back garden. Think we will grab a hot pork sandwich from the cafe by the woods on the way back for lunch as well.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores though. Bacon muffin for breakfast and a pasta bake with garlic bread for dinner later on.

We will take the dog for a long walk in the woods on the way back from the garden centre. He loves it in there. He can have a swim in the lake and paddle in the river while we are there as well.

We have a load of Ebay items finishing at lunchtime today. None are expensive today though. Will start packaging those up this afternoon ready to post on Monday morning.

We had an early night in the end.

Watched one film and an early episode of Only Fools and Horses, had dinner and went to bed. We were in bed for 9.30pm. We were shattered.

Will see if we can stay up a bit longer tonight 🤣🤣🤣

I really struggle to stay awake beyond 9pm. I’ve been like it since I was in my early 20s. I get up really early though.

Same here. We tend to go to bed early but get up early even at weekends.

The dog has loved his walk in the woods. 


He went straight in the bath when we got home! He was spoilt rotten at the cafe at the entrance to the woods with roast pork and sausages. No wonder he enjoys going to these woods.

We have had a good lot of sales on Ebay with a few items fetching much more than we anticipated. Got to package them up now ready to post on Monday.

The engine has bid up again and is now over £100 more than we were expecting for it with a day left to run.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Full English breakfast this morning and we have belly pork with roasties and vegetables later.

We will take the dog out for a long walk somewhere today. Not sure where yet.

Had a lovely walk with the dog this afternoon.




Got back and made a fresh batch of chilli pickled eggs and prepared dinner for later. The belly pork is marinating in the fridge.
