alt80 said:What did you raise from sales in the end?Ha re council tax they really do take the p. Not get into a massive rant about it again though. 😆
Waiting for the funds to clear into our bank account and then we are using that and a bit from the savings account to order a new TV.
Got a few more items up for sale now but they are only low value items, a few books. Don't expect to get much for those.2 -
New tv? Where did that come from??I’d leave that one until you can go and see them tbh - picture quality varies a lot even between equiv models. Take a measure and go to shop stand given distance in front of it. Yep probably am a neurotic nerd ha... I’ll get my coat. 😆2

We brought our TV with us from the old house but it is really too small for the living room in this house.
We had planned to use the spare cash from the holiday refund to buy a shed and a TV. We can just buy the TV a bit earlier than planned now.
The other half is a bit nerdy with this sort of stuff so I have left it to him to sort out. I will just order what he tells me to get, I don't get involved. I can tell you it is a Sony Bravia he is after but not what model it is
The old TV is in excellent condition and being 4K we should be able to sell it on fairly easily on one of the local Farcebook groups.2 -
Haha I keep half looking at upgrading to an OLED TV had ours getting on 8 years now still works fine but OLED massive step forwards and as I'm on planning the TV viewing now and no chance of wife coming into my office for the evening's viewing it's just getting more tempting ha.
On another note you had the hol refund yet? Genuinely dreading booking the Greece flights and needing to deal with getting a refund - some of my staff had massive issues getting holiday/ flights etc refunded over the past year.0 -

It probably won't be a no spends day today either. If the funds clear from Ebay today then we will order the new TV. Not sure why Ebay has decided to process it's own payments now rather than using Paypal but it is a step in the wring direction in my opinion. With Paypal we could withdraw the money instantly and be in our bank account instantly. With the new Ebay system we still have not been paid out for the items we sold on Saturday and Sunday
The funds should clear in the next day or so though.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, lunch will be soup and crusty bread and dinner tonight is rack of lamb with air fried cajun root vegetables and greens.

I planted some tomato plants in the conservatory and they were just starting to show and our dear collie who likes eating mud has destroyed them all! He is not popular but my fault I suppose as I had put them on the floor. I hope your seeds are more productive.
