Just this winter @Baileys_Babe - we only got the greenhouse last autumn. We usually wrap the olive, lemon and palm trees up and put them in a covered outdoor area for winter.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Our olives just stay in their pots by the front door all winter. We didn't wrap them or do anything special with them.
The front of the house is south facing though which probably helps them a bit.

We had olive trees when we lived in the south we never protected them in the winter and they did well. We are now in Yorkshire at the top of a hill and exposed so not a good place for them. A greenhouse wouldn't be suitable either.Sun_Addict said:Just this winter @Baileys_Babe - we only got the greenhouse last autumn. Looking forward to a few beers tonight on the sofa with a couple of films. It seems to have been a busy work week this week. Looking forward to a couple of days off over Easter now. Not that we will be going anywhere mind.3 -

They were nice. Not something we have had before. We both said we prefer sweet ones though. Got some apple and cinnamon ones to try out next week.Sun_Addict said:Brilliant news about the engine. What are the savoury hot cross buns like, they seem to be a new thing this year?2 -
