Also missing the sunshine, I was lulled into a false sense of security at the weekend thinking spring had sprung 😆 Snap I'm having sweet potato wedges tonight, but with veg chilli.

The meat delivery has arrived early this morning. Can't fault their service. We only ordered it yesterday!

The garage freezer is a bit better stocked up now.

Not quite got room for a half pig in there now so that can wait until next month I think.

Might get some alternative meats later this month though. They have got some great stuff on offer at the moment that will be ideal to stick in the freezer for Christmas.

That’s a very impressive array of meat. Will keep you going for a bit.

It doesn't last as long as you might hope. Especially not when the BBQ gets going for the summer. We will need another load of lamb by about July time I should think.

Not a no spends day today. We have an Asda home delivery coming this afternoon.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores though. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, me and the dog have liver and mash for lunch and dinner tonight is rabbit stew in a giant Yorkshire pudding.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • cleaning the mirrors
    • sorting and putting away home shopping delivery
    • walking the dog x 2
The Ebay items are all still ticking along nicely. I think we may have slightly under estimated what we will get for them. They all seem to be bidding up much more than we would have expected them to at this stage.

That's brilliant about the ebay items, makes a change to get more than you expected for something.

Ha I forgot bbqs are even something that existed. Probably best to here I don’t do them but the in-laws are mad for them and expected to go this year almost worth foregoing the jab just to avoid that. They also go through a lot of meat.

Fantastic re eBay. You’ve reminded me to tell my wife to put our stuff up for sale. Might get some interest people seem ready to come out of lockdown.

That all sounds positive - I like the idea of the old boat things raising money towards the new van things.
It makes more logical sense to pay down your interest bearing debt but I understand the idea of keeping various pots separate and not losing certain things to debt. It would be good though if the timings work out so that you can hammer the debt and get anything remaining onto 0% again before you commit to the van.

I may have got this wrong but does OH have a better credit history than you. Are you tracking what offers he can get as well? It might be a bit more convoluted to get debt from your name to his such as purchases at 0% while paying down in the other name but 29% is such a downer.

That 29% card won't be hanging around for long. We are going to throw plenty at it to hopefully get that cleared before we get the van. Hoping to have it cleared in a few months without losing the money raised from the boat gear sales to debt as well. As things stand we have plenty of spare in the budget to make overpayments on that card and get it gone quickly.
