  • I’m impressed 😀 you are doing really well. I am nervous about coming out of lockdown ( for financial reasons) more fuel spend if we have to go into the office and more social events, will have to say no as want to continue my debt payments , it’s been easier for me in lockdown to not spend . Will have to learn some self discipline😀

We are lucky that when I do eventually go back to the office it won't cost us any extra fuel. The office I work in is only around the corner from the garage the other half works in so we can share a car to work.

And I make packed lunches for the other half anyway so it won't cost any/much more to make mine.
  • Yes packed lunches for me too! No popping to shops at lunchtime either! My office is right next to the park so can go for a walk and eat lunch in the park when it’s dry and warm enough! Good for the pre wedding diet too!

It will be another no spends day today. Two out of two so far this month.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I will have something from the fridge for my lunch and dinner tonight is a simple spag bol with some garlic bread.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • load of washing
    • watering the house plants
    • walking the dog x 2
The Ebay items are ticking along nicely. They all now have several bidders on them and look set to get alright prices. The other half would like to put the money from these sales towards something for the van, either an Avtex TV or Gasit refillable gas bottle system. I think I might concede and let him do that as we should be able to make a decent overpayment on Card 3 this month without the Ebay sales anyway.

Scrap that. It won't be a no spends day. I have just been out to the garage freezer to get some bits out and realised we are running low on some stuff so I have ordered a half sheep and a steak box to top it back up again.

Will need to order a half pig and some poultry as well soon. Will see how much room is left after the steaks and lamb are in there and decide when to order the rest.

It is joints of meat we are running low on more than chops and burgers etc, but we will use the chops etc, when the BBQ starts to get fired up for the summer.

Love spag bol mate hope you enjoyed.

Throw the ebay sales at the cards and buy the stuff for the van when you get the van even if on 0% if it's accounted for better than paying interest for your cash to sit there making !!!!!! all (assuming it's in an instant saver or something there tbf).

Do you butcher this meat you buy yourself? Can remember my parents ordering in meat and doing this but never heard of anyone doing that outside a commercial setting.

The meat comes butchered and vacuum packed. I'm no butcher.

Spag bol was lovely. Stuffed now.

We will be able to make a decent over payment on Card 3 this month even if the Ebay sales are spent elsewhere.

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was cereals, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I have some soup and crusty bread for my lunch and dinner tonight is some nice steak with paprika sweet potato wedges, beer battered onion rings, grilled cherry tomatoes and garlic green beans and mushrooms.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • sorting out and putting away in the relevant freezers the lamb and steak delivery
    • walking the dog x 2
It is a miserable and gloomy start to the day today. I'm missing the sunshine.
