Time to Face The Music

It's pay day today. Should be a low spends day but not quite a no spends day.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals and dinner tonight is chilli dogs and a few beers. Lunch today is going to be a KFC. We both fancied one so the other half said he will go and fetch one for us at lunchtime.

Todays jobs include:

• working from home
• vacuuming the house (this didn't get done yesterday!)
• walking the dog

The other half made a start on the panelling in the downstairs loo yesterday. He figured that the panelling is the hard part and he can paint it whenever. The bit he has done looks great. He reckons he should have the rest of the panelling done today which will just leave painting in there for another day.

He hasn't finished it yet. He got one wall done yesterday and has another wall to do today. There is much swearing coming out of that little room!

It does look good though. Looking forward to seeing the finished article.

It will be a low spend day today. 

We need some fruit and vegetables from the farm shop and we need to order a couple of bits for the downstairs loo to finish it off. Nothing expensive though. 

Breakfast will be a full English and dinner tonight is slow cooked beef madras with rice, samosa and naan bread. 

The other half just needs to reseal the sink in the downstairs loo today. He is finished for now other than that though. The panels are all done, the room now needs painting. We have the paint ready for when he gets a spare couple of hours at some point. It looks much better already though.

We will take the dog out for a long walk today. We won't get chance tomorrow as we have someone coming to view the boat early afternoon tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

I bet he’s glad he’s finished the panelling. One of my friends wood panelled her downstairs loo and it looks really good. Fingers crossed with the boat viewing tomorrow 🤞

A sneaky peek at the downstairs loo. Not finished yet. The walls are to be painted a cream colour and we need to find a mirror for above the sink and a chunky wood shelf for above the radiator.
