Weighted blankets.....thoughts please?

My concern would be getting used to the weight, and finding a friend's duvet or in hotel rooms too light.  I remember having to adjust to the lightness of a duvet when we got our first ones in the 70s; they were light after candlewick bedspreads, quilts and woollen blankets.  Would I have to cart the weighted blanket around with me to sleep?  Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Two nights in and my sleep has improved without a doubt. I still wake up but get back within minutes rather than hours. I will of course give it time.That’s my fear. I’ll get reliant on it and not sleep without it. A  comfort blanket in every sense.

I was wondering this, and how we thought a duvet was so much nicer than those heavy blankets, wonder if they are just indeed the 'new' fashion.....

My wife recently got one of these. It really helps her rest some nights when she just needs some extra weight to get comfy. The one we ordered is a bit heavier than we expected though, so maybe try a lighter one to start. But yeah, if you are into the extra weight I would highly recommend.

Hah, this is part of the reason  we got one. We have cats but they always try to cuddle me and the wife gets jealous as she really enjoys the weight and warmth of their cuddles. We compromised and she now sleeps well with the weighted blanket.

I bought this one a few weeks ago.  Wasn't expecting much as at £18.99 for the 6kg I couldn't see how it could be any good.  Not only was it amazing, it was so amazing both my adult kids went back and bought one.   They have another colour I think, but I seem to recall thats more expensive.

I got the next size up, not in stock here, so far so good. Quality of sleep has definitely improved maybe asking too much for the quantity to improve.

 Have you tried sleepio? Its online sleep cbt. My mental health team gave me access. It helped but i have to jeep going back to it And re starting bits. But it does help.

Thanks for the link....was looking at these in store at John Lewis yesterday and would have purchased had they had the weight I wanted.Just ordered online via the link and saved myself £69 compared to JL.
