I waited for RAC as a lone female for 4 hrs! Is this acceptable?

Feminists do women few favours.... they embarrass me... female, 65, married, financially independent.

  • Haven't read the OP or the replies that followed.

I'm just jumping in to say these kinds of statements absolutely do my head in. Had the option of saying RAC had me waiting for 4 hours but nope, has to throw in the lone female card. What difference does being a lone female or a lone male make?

Reminds me of a dashcam video i watched recently where someone was cut up & plays the 'i have a child' card. He then proceeds to go chasing after the guy for miles, catches him at the guys house or wherever it was and has a pop at him, telling him he had his kid in the car and the overtake put the kid at risk .... unlike the dad doing the chasing i suppose.

I don't think the OP was really playing the "femanist" card. Both RAC and AA have heavily advertised in the past that lone females would be treated as a priority and most people would probably have considered that reasonable. It seems they've dropped this statement now and both say they will prioritise "vulnerable" people (without specifying sex - probably just modernising the terminology).
However, none of these statements were a guarantee that a patrolman will be with a motorist in a quick time.

Feminists are supposed to want equal rights for men and women. This woman obviously believes that men should wait longer while women are prioritised. The WASPI women want to retire at 60 while men of the same age carry on to 67. So they don't want equal rights when there is a chance of a superior deal for themselves.

From what I';ve read of your posts you don't really understand anything about anything except watching youtube videos.  I suggest you step away from anything as unyoutube such as the rights of women who have been done out of money they had paid for by someone who got a golden handshake and will be on a 6 figure pension.  Men of the same era as those feeling entitled to have their pension from the age of 60 would be no more than 65 at age of entitlement.

It’s probably of little consolation to  Waspi women but at least they can, on average, expect to receive their pension for 4 years longer than men due to their increased life expectancy.

That figure would have been 9 years when the pension ages were 60 for women and 65 for men!

    ...just sayin’.  :D

I don't think we need another full blown WASPI discussion. I am sure everything has been said before. We even had the chance to vote on it at the last election. Can't believe how Labour misjudged that so badly.

Waspi discussions generally turn full-blown;...perhaps not on a motoring forum though.

What didn't they misjudge so badly?

December's election was quite probably the lowest point for democracy in this country... ever. And it was so utterly predictable.
