You said 2010 in your OP, which is right 10 or 11

you say part service history, when was the last service done. When is the MOT due
    Sorry, its a 2010 plate, 2011 reg.

Last service was done in January 2020, MOT and road tax due in January 2021
Am I going mad or is that impossible If it’s a 2010 plate it would have been registered between March and Aug 2010. The length of MOT isn’t a great selling point as it’s only 4 months away
    HG60, 2010 plate, but 2011 registration

It's possible that the car was manufactured in 2010 but not registered until 2011.  Sometimes dealers hold on to unregistered stock for a few months.
It does seem expensive for what it is, though; there are plenty of much nicer looking and better specified cars available on Auto Trader for less money.  But then people will pay a premium just because it's a VW, so who knows?  The only way to get an idea is to offer it for sale.
Then it would be a 2011 plate , wouldn’t it

He could do.  ( you would think he would know what the reg is) Hopefully OP will clarify, although it won’t make too much difference to the price

the plate is a 2010 plate in the sense that it is a '60' plate, but the car was officially registered in the UK

Is it a 2010 model Polo, on a '60' plate, that was first registered in 2011?

Fix the mirrors, they will put 90% of buyers off, I guarantee that.
Don't bother with the bumper, you're selling a basic, old, £3,000 car, it's expected that the body will have wear and tear with some bumps and scratches / dings. You could try polishing/tcut might make it a bit better. But don't get it professionally fixed, waste of money.
