I am not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread?   You think you get your flu jab and are immune but it takes 14 days plus for it to take effect.   I was told this by the nurse who gave me mine last year.
Yes that's one of the reason why a lot of people are convinced the flu jab can give you flu (which is physically impossible).  They get the jab, then fall ill with flu-like symptoms a few days later but don't realise they were probably exposed before the jab or shortly after.

I've been getting one for years for health reasons and still haven't even been contacted. Neither has my over 80 yr old relative.
That's why I went to Tesco, I'd still be waiting otherwise.
In Scotland so I'd have to pay if not NHS.

Can you afford it?  To be honest I'd have paid £12 rather than wait potentially into November.  Its not how it should be but protecting yourself is most important.

When I contacted GP I was told that the health board are overseeing the flu vaccination programme this year and just to wait for the letter.

If I don't hear soon I may have to even though it goes against my beliefs

Booked in with Asda because I’m 61 and don’t fancy a long wait for the eventual free NHS one. But now I’m worrying because Asda’s is only £8 whereas other pharmacies are around £12. Will it be the same vaccine or some cheap and less ‘good’ version? I’d rather wait if this one is inferior!
There is a different one for over and under 65

I know what you mean, but sometimes you have to put yourself first.
