  • The vaccine you will be given as part of a trial might not even work or have side effects. No guarantee. I don’t see the relevance to the flu jab either.

And you could be in the control group and so not get the actual vaccine.

Miracles got through to gp in an hour and have booked flu jabs for end of October. I just hope they dont run out before then or we will be in the same  boat again.
  • Well done! End of November I assume!

    Yes sorry. Senior moment!
  • My husband and I had our flu jabs in September arranged via our GP.  In the last week we have both received letters from the NHS stressing the importance and requesting us to book an appointment for the flu jab.  I wondered how much has been spent on this waste of postage as I am sure millions have received this letter too.

I got one of those letters today too. Enclosed was another letter explaining how I could save the NHS money by not receiving such letter with a QRcode for me to scan to give my details to the NHS so they could contact me electronically in future. So, they send me an unsolicited and unwanted letter to tell me how to stop wasting their resources sending letters! 🤔
  • The QR code only worked for me not my husband so even that is not perfect. Probably spent a fortune getting that established
