I use Bookmark list as well. I do also read some which aren't bookmarked, just not as regularly and they also tend to be ones I don't comment on either!

Hi
Long time lurker on this fab board. Please can I join for Sept? Me, plus one and 2 fur monsters. We have a fairly stocked toiletry and cleaning cupboard, and hoping to eat from the cupboards and freezer to run things down. So aiming for £150 for a 5 week month or £30 a week.. Sounds easy ..but we will see.
Thank you. Sam

Thank you for organising this again!
Can I join at £150 please?
I have a start of month bulk order of vegan cleaning products, loo roll, chia seeds nut butter and other store cupboard stuff on Monday, so I am already £65.30 down. But, I'm also away for a week, so feeling ok with about £85 to go.
Next week's menu will have mirin leeks and mushrooms, and red pepper and chickpea polenta. And something involving a small pumpkin, not sure what yet.2021 GC £1365.71/ £240010 -
Morning, can I please join this challenge with a budget of £300. My month starts from the 1st to the 30th and I normally have an online shop at least once a week but I want to cut this down so I am going to try and go 10 days between each big shop. Obviously I will have to top up on milk and bread but that is all. Our household is me and my husband, 2 grown up children and 2 dogs and a grumpy cat. All food, pet food and cleaning stuff will come out of the same budget.
I have been using some of the recipes at the start of this thread and they have all been lovely so far. I want to make my own snacks instead of buying them from the supermarket as they might not be cheaper but they will taste much nicer. Well, that's all my waffle for now, thank you.

Don't know if this will help about threads, if you go into your profile, click on edit profile and then notification preferences, you can decide what e mail notifications' you want to receive by ticking the boxes, make sure you save it and you should receive emails depending on what you tick, but it will be every thread you post on. Seems that the default has been set as just pop-ups. Never seen a daily digest but I wasn't on the old system.9

Right back to try again! Please put me down for £200 again for September, I have overshot by around £13 for the last two months, but this is a great improvement on earlier in the year. The pigs are booked in for early October, so i need more freezer space by then. Will try to use more bits up this month. Good luck all, mumtoomany.Frugal Living Challenge 2025.7

May I join in please? I've just been going over my figures for the last few weeks and my spending seems to have run away with me rather so I'd like to join in for the accountability which will hopefully keep me on track. My month will run from 31st Aug to 5th Sept and I'd like to start with £200 . There's just me so that should easily cover all food and household necessities such as cleaning supplies but not toiletries as I have a separate budget for those.
I have a well stocked pantry, fridge and freezer so am aiming to eat down some stored supplies and see what I can make with the ingredients I have already opened rather than adding to the jars and bottles sitting in the fridge.
My besetting sins are unusual ingredients and y/s bargains which I find it very hard to walk past if I think they'll come in handy some day! I also have a very long list of recipes I want to try out at least once from here and elsewhere so must stop adding to that and start eating my way through those.
Looking forward to reaching October with a nice low total for all of us, onwards and upwards to everyone, goldfinches.6 -
And I'm off into September's budget with a £52 spend at the market this morning, which bought us meat, fish, cheese, fruit & veg; just about everything we'll need for the week, but I'll probably need to buy milk & cream tomorrow & top up bread & banana supplies early next week. It's one of those very rare weekends when we don't have any visiting offspring, partners & dogs to feed, so I can relax a bit on the catering front!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6
