FreeBear said;Sorry. I should have made it clear that it was a past tense - Application 18/01216/F from a PM on the 21st.As an aside, with the neighbouring house occupants moving, when’s the best time to submit a planning permission application? Obviously wouldn’t do it until the house was ours, but straight away if the owners of neighbours Who objected back in 2007 are still there or once they’ve left?Is there a law RE letting people in the buying process know that PP has been applied for on a neighbouring house? And can the buyer in the process of buying object?0

The application for PP should come to light from conveyencer's searches. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Plan according to when you are likely to have the funds together, as PP expires after 3 years. That means it needs to be started by that point, not finished.

Decisions are made on legislation, not on the neighbours' opinions, in the main.Things aren't rejected because neighbours complain. They are rejected because they don't meet policy.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hopefully I’ll find an architect I like fairly soon to discuss all this with beyond hypothetical ideas. The one I met this week said permitted development rules for attic conversions are becoming even more lax next year, so after all this maybe that’s the easiest way to go, I’m not sure. As long as the stairs can fit somewhere!1
