Another £5 paid off - ordered something from Amazon for OH's mum and used my £5 voucher towards it. Balance is now £1,717.25.

    98 Days to Go......

£10 paid off today, so the balance is now £1,707.25.

I've been thinking, and whilst I still really want to pay off my card and am determined to do so, I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it before my birthday. Basically I can't sit in front of my laptop all day trying to get an article or survey to get the money for it. My weight is the highest it has ever been and my ankles are actually becoming swollen in the evening because I am just sat around all day. I know I'm not sat around doing nothing, but I am still sat down for most of the day, which can't continue.

I am firmly in overweight territory now, and I've got a hospital appointment on Tuesday (only on the phone) when I think my dietician will tell me I need to lose weight. Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up, I just need to concentrate on some other things too.

Your health comes first, Emz.  No one knows that more than you  as you've had to go through so much in your life that we can only imagine.  You always manage to get the balance right though and I'm sure you will with your new plan.

Good luck with your hospital phone consultation.  Take care of yourself xx

    97 Days to Go.......

£22.30 paid off the card today - that's my usual £10, £3 Pinecone survey, and the rest from eBay items that have been paid for, so the balance is now £1,684.95. I am still going to count down to my birthday, although I don't think I will make it without being in front of my laptop all day, but I don't think I will be far off. I am still determined to get it clear, and will pay something off each day.

I have had a very productive morning though, including 20 minutes on my treadmill, cleaning my kitchen thoroughly (it's sparkling now!!) and hoovering the lounge. I've burned 405 calories, done 33 minutes of exercise and 8,369 steps too!! I'm going to do a Monday weigh-in each week, and hope that my daily exercise and more sensible eating has an impact. I'm currently 73.8kg.

I've got a housework schedule worked out and will try and get that done in the morning, so I can get some earning done in the afternoon, and then I'll relax in the evening (my mum's cross-stitch bookmark is coming along nicely!!).

Whilst I would still love to be able to crack on with clearing the card at full pelt, I do feel better today that I am being more productive with my health and keeping the house nice and tidy.

  • It's all about finding the right balance and sounds like delaying it a few months will be much better for your health so I'd focus on that for now.

    96 Days to Go.......

£17.50 paid off the card today, that's my usual £10 and Hello Fresh offered me £7.50 credit if I changed my delivery day to Wednesday instead of Monday. Balance is now £1,667.45.

Hospital went well. Doctor pleased with my lung function, even though it has only increased slightly, and has even said I might be able to stop one of my nebulisers, as well as decrease or even stop my oxygen, but will have to wait until it's safe for me to go to the hospital to be seen. Dietician said she was happy with my plan for losing weight, and it should start to come off, even if it's gradual. I don't need to lose too much, maybe just a stone.

I have done my morning exercise (20 minutes on the treadmill) and have cleaned the bathroom out. Might have to go back on the treadmill later to get my 30 minutes on my Apple Watch, but only for 5-10 minutes.

Will get some surveys done now before I have to do my nebulisers and start on dinner.

    95 Days to Go.......

£21 sent to the card today, usual £10 and £11 Prolific money, so the balance is now £1,646.45, which means......target met:

    Friday 8th January - £2,000
    Friday 15th January - £1,800
    Friday 22nd January - £1,650
    Friday 29th January - £1,500

Might be the last one I can meet on time though. I'll give it my best shot, and think that I will be able to clear at least £100 a week, if I keep up with my £10 a day.

Right, off to clean the spare room.
