Le_Kirk said:No contact since March - WOW, - I would definitely be contacting the court today as a matter of urgency in case the claimant has requested and been given a judgment in default. Hope all your details (address and e-mail address) that are lodged with court are up-to-date.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

All my address are up to date. I also have a postal forwarding in place for 1 year. I've not had a response from UKCPM after declining over phone and email and requiesting we take to Judge to make the final decision.

I would absolutely not be relying upon mail forwarding for vital court directions. Not all letters get forwarded. Contact the court and ask, and email all parties and court your actual address.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just got off the phone with the county courtI sent an email to the county court in June 2021 to update my contact details but it has yet to be done. They are now chasing up the request and hopefully should be done this week. They also confirmed no letters have been sent since the last order (details below) so I haven't missed anything. In regards to the case, the last order was sent to both parties in April 2021. The Court ordered the Claimant to confirm in writing to the Court if the Defendant, myself, had accepted the reduced offer. I had to chase the Claimant twice to decline the offer over the phone. On the second time of calling, I asked them to send an email confirming that i declined the offer. This was done in June 2021 where I also contacted the County Court to explain what had happend and also to update my contact details (see paragraph above). My call with the County Court confirmed they also chased the Claimant for a response in July with no response as of yet.So what i plan on doing is to send another email to the County Court again to explain the situation/lack of progress.1

Also ask them to put the situation in front of a judge and ask for the claim to be struck out!4

Exactly! Seize the moment and point put the Claimant has done nothing and they have breached the court direction, so you respectfully ask the court to strike this claim out.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello all. I had my final hearing and I am pleased to say I won my case. UKCPM did not attend the hearing so it was just myself and the judge. It was pretty straightforward and far less intimidating that I expected. The judge agreed with the points raised in this thread. I am so pleased I didn't accept the recommendation provided by the mediation judge. Thinking back now, that particular judge would not hear a single thing I had to say as he had already made up his mind.

So glad you DIDN'T agree what that first Judge nearly forced you into!
Well done you!
ANOTHER UKCPM ONE BITES THE DUST!
And we sincerely hope you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation?
What I told you about in March has all been temporarily halted, due to PPC World throwing money and 2 or 3 Judicial Reviews at it because they can't stomach the idea of a cap on their money-grabbing.
Hopefully - amongst all the political disruption - the final Consultation about the level of parking charges will be open later this year or into January/Feb.
We all need to ram the nail in the coffin of the false £70 'DRA fee' add-on, that actually funds the court claim and toxic CCJ culture, as well as the DRA gaslighting of people.
Just checking you are among those ready to respond to the questions as you have personal experience of how this crap feels?
Please come back here when it opens, and you can make sure you don't miss the Consultation:
If you are not a regular reader, to be alerted you'll need to bookmark the thread by MSE_JC at the top of the forum and enable (on your profile) email alerts for bookmarked threads.
Then join us when the Consultation opens.
