Thanks again @Le_Kirk - the Street View is out of date down there anyway. It is showing the old 2hr signs. I'll go snap some of the newer ones. There are no terminals, barriers etc down there, so it is not immediately obvious I would say that parking is restricted.

    I'll give the pub a try @Ralph-y

And the final part of the eye test today, what it actually says if you zoom in...

Any guidance on if the signage is adequate / legible enough to constitute an argument to make if went to court would be gratefully received.

The signs are okay-ish ... for literate giraffes.

Trust your own judgement on signage, I think you know they're way too high and that's why you took that third photo which really illustrates that particular issue well.  Are others equally high?  If so, even more photos showing that would be ideal.

Even though POPLA is not an option in this case, the basic POPLA signage section outlines the standards signs should conform to but rarely do.  There's a link to it in the POPLA section of the Newbies' thread.

It looks to me as if the most important information about maximum length of stay is not nearly as clear and accessible as it should be.  And are there any signs at all at the entrance?

Hi @MistyZ - Yes signs by entrance are in photo one. Next to the tree on the left side, and on the right hand side set a little into that low bush. (Photo two is a close up on that one on the right hand side).

The other signs dotted around are at the same height as shown from the in car photo. I'd have to go back, but there is certainly areas within the fairly small carpark that you are conceivably unable to see any signage, let alone read it.

I'd never park in a UKCPM car park.  Avoid! Anyway it's always worth fighting them in court if you can't get the pub to cancel it.

That doesn't sound good! Still waiting to hear back from pub on ownership at the moment.

What I was going to ask is if I understand it correctly at this stage I should just ignore everything until I get the notice to keeper? Only issue with that is they have initially written to my old address (as V5 had not been updated). I have since advised them of the new address, and updated the V5... but my concern is what if they send the notice to keeper (or worse still notice before action) to the old address and I end up missing an important deadline. Is there any way to safeguard myself against that possibility?

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
