Hi @jag_run , great thread this, and very pertinent to my current case - I sent my defence, and also sent a follow up email asking why I've got no acknowledgement. No replies on both, and since received a judgment, asking for more money or I get the CCJ.

I called them today and asked. They said they haven't received. I'm going to have to send them screenshots of my sent mail.

Just to be sure, when emailing the court manager, is it just emailing to normal email address but with 'complaint' in the title?

    I've sent everything to:

    CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk

    Thanks for your help

@StJohn81 - Yes exactly that. Good luck, and keep pestering them!

@Coupon-mad - It could be worth updating the Sticky to say that if you don't get an auto reply from the court then it's not registered on their system and to resubmit it until you do. As I was never aware to expect an auto reply from the court, so the first I know of the issue was when the judgement was made.

I am sure @Coupon-mad will do this when time (and being able to open the thread again) permits.  One problem is that as soon as she arranges for the thread to be opened to change the NEWBIE, loads of people post on it!  Regulars now do advise posters to do exactly what you have suggested along with only sending the e-mail during office hours.

Another update from the court. Compensation offer increased. FYI @Coupon-mad

Sent the DQ off before deadline, so just waiting again now. I'll probably accept the compensation offered.

That's really good to see, @jag_run

£150 compensation for CCBC having a crappy email black hole and untrained staff on the phone.

We need to spread the word. Which email address is offering that compensation settlement?

I hope they haven't lost your DQ! Dare I ask - did you get an acknowledgement?

This is one hell of a story and all about a system we should be able to trust.

Just like the MET Police, CCBC should be placed in Special measures until they can prove they are fit for purpose

This is a story for the press/media

They are showing from HM Courts and Tribunals Service <replies@optic.justice.gov.uk> - looks like some kind of email management software rather than an individual.

DQ sent, acknowledgement from CCBC and Gladstones printed off and framed in downstairs loo!  :D

Hopefully if they got to lump out enough compensation they'll get the motivation to make improvements. The £150 is nice, but compared to the impact is nothing. Almost lost a job, and also was not able to switch mortgage... the true cost could have been into the tens of thousands.

P.S... If anybody is in a rush for the compensation they have a long wait! :open_mouth:

@Coupon-mad - Also seen additional contact information on there which may be of future use.
