That’s shocking, did they provide a chaperonetreeroy said:I booked my car into kwik fit last week to fit some new tyres. Couldn't book a mobile one because my driveway is steep gravel. I had to walk around my town's country park for almost FIFTY FIVE MINUTES!
I will be taking them to court over this outrageous behaviour.0 -
2 fitters needed is not usually an at base job, 2 vans will turn up at your house. Highly unlikely their is a second option for fitting. Most likely either specialist sealant or calibration but op has not answered the questions asked.sweetsand said:Hi
it could depend on the car you have as some need extra time to settle and two people to change.
It allowed use another co.

I don't understand why that is a problem for a grown adult? I've never had a problem with going for a walk for a few hours while waiting for things in the past. Yes it may be a bit annoying if it's raining but she can wear waterproofs, no matter where the industrial estate is there will be somewhere she can walk around or do something to take up a few hours.scottiescott said:
Well, first of all what is she suppised to do? Wander about an industrial estate for an hour or two while they replace it? And I only asked if anybody else had a similar experience.Mercdriver said:
And? That's where I would expect them to be based. Why have you not asked them why there is an exception to the norm rather than simply complaining here where we are unlikely to know?scottiescott said:It's in the middle of an industrial estate!

I don't understand why you made a sexist comment? There is no need for that kind of thing as it does not help the OP that is seeking help, nor does it help this site with those type of very dated comments.DoaM said:

On site, 2 vans or not, as I said and another said, possibly the solution is try another fitter - ask the insurance co if they would allow that as most are affiliated to certain repair orgs.photome said:

And as i said near the start of this thread it may be because a camera/sensor needs recalibrating at the depot, looks like we will never know thoughsweetsand said:

Maybe not, but it was the OP who brought gender in to the conversationsweetsand said:

your comments re sensors, etc, it could be possibly down to that though I'm not 100% sure I think our
cars have them build into the, bheind the grill like a mini cctv. The screen on the Scalls has the lights sensor not too much in the way of calibrating those I guess.
IMO and as ststed before the OP needs to ask insurance others he can use.0 -
Not sure what you mean by Scalls or what it has to do with the OPs car.sweetsand said:

there are cars that need recalibrating after new screens and some of those can only be done in the depot0
