I would presume so, or she could stand just over 2metres away and watch. Which ever she prefers.scottiescott said:
Well, first of all what is she suppised to do? Wander about an industrial estate for an hour or two while they replace it? And I only asked if anybody else had a similar experience.Mercdriver said:
And? That's where I would expect them to be based. Why have you not asked them why there is an exception to the norm rather than simply complaining here where we are unlikely to know?scottiescott said:It's in the middle of an industrial estate!0 -
I havent destroyed any it’s always a flying stone. Unlucky I guess, coupled with up to 35000 miles a year.. i have had stones hit my windscreen from vehicles going the other direction.[DELETED USER] said:photome said:is it anything to do with having to recalibrate any cameras or sensors.
I have had dozens of new windscreens over the past 18 years and never had to go to a depot though.
How are you destroying so many windscreens?!0 -
What is the car, I did ask if it’s because something needs calibrating after the fitting, as did a couple of other postersscottiescott said:
Insurance company's choice I'm afraid.Scrapit said:Go elsewhere. Auto glass vans are still driving around, most have their own canopies built in. Its extremely easy to social distance and get a screen fitted. Just leave the geezer to it.0 -
if they are used to people waiting they may have a waiting area0

Take a camping chair in the boot - if it's a nice day, find a quiet spot and have a chill with a few snacks and some music via headphones. It is August, after all!scottiescott said:

Failing that, walk to the nearest pub / McDonald's / get a taxi into the nearest town.0 -

Important notice:
Most of our waiting rooms and toilet facilities are closed to ensure we can observe social distancing requirements. Unfortunately, you will not be able to wait while your appointment is being completed.
Unless told otherwise, please plan to drop off and pick up your vehicle, and do not attempt to enter the Centre.

Still begs the question why she has not called them to ask why rather than ask random people on the net. There might be a simple reason for it.scottiescott said:

I don't understand why that is a problem for a grown adult? I've never had a problem with going for a walk for a few hours while waiting for things in the past. Yes it may be a bit annoying if it's raining but she can wear waterproofs, no matter where the industrial estate is there will be somewhere she can walk around or do something to take up a few hours.scottiescott said:

I booked my car into kwik fit last week to fit some new tyres. Couldn't book a mobile one because my driveway is steep gravel. I had to walk around my town's country park for almost FIFTY FIVE MINUTES!
I will be taking them to court over this outrageous behaviour.2 -
Hi
it could depend on the car you have as some need extra time to settle and two people to change.
It allowed use another co.0
