Morning all
The sun is shining, need to get out in the garden today and tackle some jobs, the wind and rain this week have battered things a bit! We also need to empty the lounge as much as possible and take the carpet up in preparation for the decorator starting on Monday, if we have any energy left after that some other house flying will be done!
Hugs for all, take care and have a good day x7 -
More hugs here for dancemum. I can’t begin to imagine how it is for you at the moment, but if there is anything I can do, pm me.
I’m not entirely sure what the days holds. I joined to WAC very early on to make sure that I got my place. DD has got a shift at a shop in nearby small town today, so wants to drive herself there, with me in attendance, of course. Then she and DH want to go later to shopping centre on the other side of big town. I am required as mediator and for payment. My anxiety is fast rising, as driving instructor and going shopping are my least favourite ways to spend time now.
DH and I are grating on each other. A bit of Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder wouldn’t go amiss before it’s too late.Flying? Not sure. Maybe in the garden / greenhouse if the winds have subsided.
Hugs all round x6 -
Morning xx
A very steady morning as I ended the week running on empty having used up all my spoons at the beginning of the paid working week. I knew that I was running on fumes when I drove to work yesterday and by the time that I drove home I was a zombie. So replenishing my spoons today is a priority.
More hugs heading your way dancemum xx And have some more ((()))) because I really don't know what to say xx
ionafan - I ought to warn you that I am planning a staycation in your study bedroom - it is the only thing that will appease my serious owl envyxx
Actually, thinking about what I've just been reading on the thread I think we are all pretty much running on empty so I hereby declare (and may the flylady powers that be forgive me) that all flyladys must take time out for a couple of hours (at least) this weekend. I was going to decree a full 24 hours - but we'll start small. Dr R's waggy finger is wagging. She who must be obeyed is worried about your health and well-being xx
If I can dredge up the energy I'm going to go and get dressed then have another brew and some breakfast. I'll take up one or two things from the airer - seeing as I'm going up any way.
Take care

Thanks round xx
I was woken by a heavy downpour and joined the WAC at 4.15 but managed to get another 2.5 hours of zzz by very firmly telling myself to go back to sleep - and for once it worked! Still feeling a bit "heady" this morning, but I will do whatever flying i can between naps and "me" time.
So far I have
- got up just in time to take in the greengrocery delivery
- filled the fridges with F&V
- loaded the DW
- tidied/S&S'd kitchen, LR, bathroom and bedrooms
- FUPA the last of yesterday's washing
- made a fuss of Rosie
- sent an email to confirm pick-up of a Freecycled item this afternoon
- started some essential church admin, including making a phonecall which has given me just a little bit more work (but easy)
- dispatched DH to the pharmacy to get our repeat prescriptions
- spotted cobwebs as I was standing at the top of the stairs talking to DH, so I got out Aunt Kate's head and have de-webbed every room in the house
- and tested the smoke alarm in the process.
Everywhere looks clean and tidy, except my desk
I have just looked out of my window and seen a small pirate with a patch over one eye, waving an enormous cutlass, and a princess on a unicorn making their way along the laneAnd there are now 3 donkeys in the corner field - fortunately they don't appear to be the braying sort, so no competition for the owls.

Morning all,
Like Narco I have absolutely no idea where this week has gone. I have made a start at batch cooking & getting uniforms labelled etc, fortunately I go back to school the week after the children so I have a few days on my own to look forward to. Lots of time has been spent juggling money as well, getting some financial bits in order (sounds grand when I type it like that, couldn't be further from the truth!). I also need to seriously get back into Slinky mode. Oh, and buy the kids new coats as they don't have any that fit anymore.YL I am VERY proud of you lovely. Promise me you'll take some time for yourself this weekend, yes?Big hugs to you all xx8 -
Round, I think it sounds like Dr R has hit the nail on the head x
DD drove well to small town, was despatched off to work and I drove back. Had some road rage which the other driver kept up for 6 miles before I turned off and they blasted their horn at me. It’s unsettled me completely. Until then, the morning had looked like the only way was up.
Onions dug, more plums picked. Plum cake is on the agenda for some time this weekend, along with plum jam if I can scrape together enough sugar.7 -
Cousin is coming today as we are planning our special birthday big party for next year, so we are sorting what we want / costs etc and fingers cross next Aug is ok for everyone to be together. So I have made room on the dinning room table for a planning war room, new kitchen not finished, so I have warned her and partner it is bbq is not too windy as it is still blowing a hoolie here or a takeaway as I have no over or hob, or we have sandwiches.I've got OH to plumb in the WM, and run an extension cable to it, I have washing galore but been with out a working machine for 9 days now, 1st lot is out, 2nd lot just taken out, 1st lot is dry owing to the wind
3rd lot still in machine.
My result for my retinopathy eye test are back, it seems there are changes, I have an eye test pre booked for Tuesday for more checks, and Monday is hearing aid day at local doctors, while they will accept me, they won't accept my hearing aids, daft system, so no doubt somewhere along the line it is going to cost the NHS money to replace something that works fine! Also sitting here eating strawberries and ordering when I find one I like a new letter box!Hugs and have a good day xBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hello. I'm back from my hols. Hope you're all ok and hugs if needed, especially Dancemum.
Today we've done the dailies, been on two walks, DH has sorted freezers, I've done my physio and moved things around in my office and cleaned the desk and done shredding. Have also got all ironing done. This afternoon, two more walks are planned between showers and I'm going to read more of DDs book.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Love and hugs for all.. happy vibes and healthy glitter and fluffy bunnies to all..How is back to school prep going? I have cancelled the school dinners and sending mine with pack ups to save money. I need to get back to baking so I will be gutting that disgusting kitchen as soom as my heaeed stops feeling like a sponge. The inhaler is really helping with the breathing particularly until my hayfever meds kick in. I woke up wheezing this morning. I am hoping to not have to take the steroids but I may have to give in if it's no better in a few days. Few last minute bits needed here. and sort some for Miss Squizz.
Next job is calling opticians to see if Dots specs are done.
OH is going to have to discuss with his mother about us going there.. and I have a few nails to fix.
I am going to have to start writing lists for every single things again because I am losing track of my life.. it's all gone crazy!

Hi all
Round and ASB I have spent a good hour on the sofa with the dog,in an empty house, snoozing. My book is beside me but I cant even be bothered to read. DH is working, DS is playing cricket.
Last assignments for my work qualification submitted with 4 days to the deadline. I have a feeling at least one assignment will come back but then I have 3 months to resubmit.
I am a member of a professional organisation relating to my job and they have sent me a list of webinars coming up, there is one next week on "Emotional Resilience", will it be useful I wonder or a load of claptrap?
Bedding washed, some washing in drier, cant be bothered taking it in and out between showers. Need to think about tea.9
