Evening all
Carpet taken up and room ready for decorating, we got it as empty as we could. Garden jobs not done, too windy, DH has a few days off next week so will do then. Whole house hoovered and dusted, bins and litter trays all emptied and washed. House admin done. Stack of ironing done, wm loaded again for morning. As we have no comfortable lounge now for a week I’m curled up on the small sofa in my office and DH is sat in the chair in the spare room, it’s quite cosy really.I’ve listened to round and am taking some time out tomorrow, we have booked to go to a local Natty trust place, will have a walk, some fresh air and hopefully relax and refresh a bit. I think it will do us both good.
Take care all, more hugs all round xx7 -
Thank you again x
spent an hour at dancegran’s today. This week would have been dancepop’s birthday and their 64th wedding anniversary.Bathroom cleaned, Pots washed7 -
Morning all,
WM is whirring with its first load, kitchen is tidy. I need to nip to random places today, like the bottle bank, Sports Direct etc, a step closer to getting organised. HM toad in the hole for dinner, and a movie. The children are starting a swimming camp tomorrow, which is for the whole week, should be fun for them and tire them out (I hope!). Take care all xx8 -
Morning xx
I took my own advice and pootled slowly in the morning: fed the birds, filled the birdbath, put out the recycling and rubbish, changed towels in the bathroom, and cleared the airer and radiators of dry clothes. Then I had a read a book afternoon, finished the book and added it to the cs pile.
I felt my spoons start to refill as the day went on, but I'm still feeling frayed at the edges so I've had a lazy start to the day - I have put towels / tea towels in WM and they have just finished swishing which has prompted me to try and find first gear so we have some forward motion.
Round 1 =
breakfast and brew 2
take clean clothes upstairs
get dressed
peg out towels / tea towels
sort washing in to loads
set a load swishing
feed birds
That'll do for starters.
Oh and yesterday I also paid the rent online and chased a refund for the package that never did arrive. Every little helps.
Have a good day friends.

Good morning all
A slow start here too. Wm x 1 run and hung out. Played the washing okey coky so it is in at the moment, after a few drops of rain. DW run and finished. Main crop potatoes dug, with DH’s help to push the wheelbarrow back home (uphill!). I am now contemplating the rest of the day. I need to, in no particular order:
s&s bathrooms
make Badcat’s plum cake
decide what to do with the bean harvest, which means delving into the freezer which leads to...
meal plan
brave looking into the spare room where DH has deposited half the contents of the spare room
pot on baby cabbages and pak choi now that I have picked the caterpillars off them.
Or I might just finish my book!!7 -

Afternoon all
A good day here, popped out to do a couple of errands this morning, did my dailies and ran a load through the wm, pegged out for a couple of hours as it was breezy, this afternoon we went to the Nat trust place, had a nice walk for an hour or so, popped in the garden centre on the way back to get some pansies to replace some of the petunias in my pots that got a bit battered in the wind.
DH managed a couple of garden jobs while I was out, the rest will be done when he’s off work this week. I’m going to reward myself with a couple of hours with my book now with maybe a cuppa and a slice of cake too!
Have a evening, will see you on the new thread x7 -
I think I have contracted myself another cold.. I am very bunged up (though again could be hayfever but I have treated that.) I have a wibbly tum so lord knows what I've eaten to set that off, though it could be related to the amount of medication I am on, but the codeine should be preventing that.. AF is due a visit in a few days so I am in a beautiful mood.. and to top it off I wobbled on my dodgy hip on Friday night and only just managed to not fall over and I have pulled my back which is firing shooting pains in all directions, it is like a firework display on my nerve endings.. I can't take more pain killers so I am an angry, sorry mess.. As a result nothing it getting done today..I've spent an hour trying to back up my phone and it says no.
I've banished the girls to another room because I can't stand any more of Dots jumping and silly noises.. I know she can't help it so I sent her nicely and Pixie too... and Twinkle followed.
I need stuff from shop and it's Sunday and I just remembered it is Sunday and now I'm stuck.. no bread, cucumber or apples.
So.. I am going to compile a list of packed lunch ideas for the girls and we will see how we do.. I feel the need for a laminated sheet so they can tick what they want to have from a list of options and I will do my best to facilitate it. I can guarantee it won't be the £22.50 the school pack ups will be costing though for the 3 of them. So while my back hurts preventing vacuuming and laundry I will find some recipes for savoury muffins and scones and I have a food shop to do too.. OH gets paid on Friday so I will be doing a huge shop then but I will stock up now on the heavy basics.. tins and jars and cheese etc.
I've sorted the christmas bits into one box so have a pile of packaging to recycle too and cleared a bunch of space in my room. I am needing to tidy my room, it is awful in there and it is disturbing my sleep I just need to feel well for a few days to get it done.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8
